Badham Halwa

Ingredients:
Almonds – 1 cup
Sugar - 1 1/2 cups
Milk - ½ cup
Ghee - ¾ cup
Saffron Strands – a pinch
Cardamom powder – a pinch

Method:

Soak the almonds in hot water for 2-3 hours and remove the skin of the almonds.. Grind the almonds with milk to a fine paste.

Heat a nonstick pan and add ghee and also add the ground almond paste and keep stirring at low flame. After 5 minutes, add Sugar and keep stirring till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan. Add the saffron and cardamom powder for extra flavour!

Apply ghee on a plate and transfer the almond halwa into that. If desired, it can be cut into pieces.
